Installation of CCTV

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point to point (P2P), point to multipoint, or mesh wireless links.

There are two major types of CCTV camera; Indoor and Outdoor.

Indoor Cameras are cameras that are used in the house or inside while Outdoor are those for the outside environment.

There are two categories of CCTV Cameras: Wired and Wireless.

Wired are those that involve electrical cables to be powered and Wireless are those that need internet to connect to the DVR.

DVR (Digital Video Recording) is used to save and record all what is captured on the cameras. One can rewind to view the videos missed, delete or make amends on the recorded videos.

One can also decide not to allow everyone view all the channels. You can password some and restrict the rights (view, delete or edit) on it.

CCTV comes in different channels. They are:

• 4 Channels: It consist of 4 cameras (outdoor, indoor or both), a 4 channel dvr, monitor and cables. The view on the monitor will be divided into 4 boxes.
• 8 Channels: It consist of 8 cameras (outdoor, indoor or both), a 8 channel dvr, monitor and cables. The view on the monitor will be divided into 8 boxes.
• 16 Channels: It consist of 16 cameras (outdoor, indoor or both), a 16 channel dvr, monitor and cables. The view on the monitor will be divided into 16 boxes.
• 24 Channels: It consist of 24 cameras (outdoor, indoor or both), a 24 channel dvr, monitor and cables. The view on the monitor will be divided into 24 boxes.
• 32 Channels: It consist of 32 cameras (outdoor, indoor or both), a 32 channel dvr, monitor and cables. The view on the monitor will be divided into 32 boxe

The cameras are both day and night i.e.They record during the day and night and need no extra light to capture their images.
