The foreign investment department of the firm serves as the initial port of call for companies who express an interest in understanding the business climate in Nigeria with a view to eventually setting up shop in the country. This involves preliminary advice on the various sectors of the nation's economy such as oil and gas, telecommunications, power, aviation, general trade, agriculture, commodities etc. with a view to assisting the investor with the necessary information in its particular area of interest. The department further advises on the general requirements for doing business in Nigeria in compliance with Nigerian Company law regulations. This involves the incorporation of the company at the Corporate Affairs Commission (the Nigerian Companies Registry) and registration of the Company with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).
