Actions

Erythromycin is an antibiotic which belongs to Macrolide group. It inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible organism by binding of 50S ribosomal subunits.

Indications:

- Infections of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues, genitourinary tract and gastrointestinal tract.

- In combination with Neomycin for prophylaxis of inflections during abdominal surgery.

- Alternative therapy for B-lactam antibiotics in those that are allergic to penicillin.
